DEGA-Akademie 2023

DEGA-Akademie 2023

After the Corona-related interruption and the previous online version of the academy course, we are pleased to announce the reorganization of the Aeroacoustics academy course this year, which will take place at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg in Erlangen. The course is divided into two parts. The first part is designed for individuals from research and university institutes, consulting firms, and governmental institutions who are either currently dealing with or wish to delve into the complexities of Aeroacoustics.

The second part serves as a complement to the first course and aims to build upon and consolidate the knowledge gained from previous Academy courses. It delves into the theory of Aeroacoustics and offers in-depth insights into Computational Aeroacoustics (CAA), and computational methods, showcasing the latest advancements in simulating flow acoustic problems.

The Aeroacoustics course comprises two modules:

  1. Aeroacoustics 1 – Fundamentals, Designs, and Applications
  2. Aeroacoustics 2 – Theory, Numerical Methods, and Applications

The course applications will primarily focus on key areas, including fans, wind turbines, heat pumps, and ventilation and air conditioning systems. We highly value interactive discussions and encourage direct exchanges, where participants can pose their acoustic problem-related questions to our speakers. We are honored to have secured the participation of experts and scientists who possess extensive experience and profound knowledge in the field of Aeroacoustics.
