LSTME Busan Branch is an Affiliate Institute of FAU Erlangen-Nuremberg. It is aimed for establishing German engineering procedures at highest international level and to foster cooperations with Corean partners from industry and research institutes, next to offering excellent training and educational programmes.

Special focus is on projects targeting research and development in biological and medical processes concerning human life in all its particulars. Thus, LSTME brings together experts from a broad range of scientific fields in order to allow for the investigation of these highly challenging interdisciplinary problems. Only by pursuit of such multi-field approaches, the enormous demand of know-how required for successfully finding sustainable solutions to future challenges in pharmaceutical applications can be satisfied.
